Artists Profile:
Lucy Kelly is a Scottish born artist who settled in Grimsby,
Ontario, Canada in 1970.
Lucy has been painting for over thirty years and has studied continuously under a number of well-known art educators. Her studies include Modern Art, Composition and Colour at; Mohawk College Faculty of Art, Southampton Art School, Burlington Arts Center [Fine Arts] Dundas Valley School of Art, The Florida Watercolour Society.
Her subjects include the figure, landscapes and still life. They are developed using a broad variety of mediums including Oil's, Acrylic’s Watercolour, Pastel, Monoprinting, Etching, Pen and Ink and Hand Rolled Prints.
Lucy’s work has been shown at the Grimsby Art Gallery, Hamilton Art Gallery, Burlington Art’s Centre Juried shows (4), Rodman Hall Juried Exhibition, The Niagara Gallery, Tousounian Gallery, Grimsby Museum Woolverton Gallery, Grimsby and Beamsville libraries and, local wineries. Private art collectors and investors in numerous countries around the globe have purchased her work.

I prefer to work in a contemporary style and love the unexpected surprises found in the imaginative process of experimental painting.
